In a post COVID world, many of us have had to completely start over. We struggle to change because our pre-pandemic ways of life just don’t feel relevant anymore. Butterfly Suicide was originally performed at the SoloNOVA Festival in NYC in 2007. That production, directed by Debbie Jones, was influenced by the experience of 9/11 and the resurrection many of us experienced afterwards. This version, years later in a world just barely recovered from a world pandemic, takes us to a place filled with people who, quite frankly, have no idea what’s normal anymore.
Award-winning actor and improviser, Samantha Jones,and a award-winning director, Michael Schiralli ( A Chanukah Charol/Jackie Hoffman, Italian Mom Loves You starring Daniel Franzese, A Short Tutorial, Why’d You Do It? (NY Times critic’s pick),have come together to create a new adaptation of Jones’ hilarious solo show BUTTERFLY SUICIDE.. The show has been updated by co-writer Jones’ long time comedic collaborator , TV/film editor and sister, Rebecca Lally (Go Diego Go, Dora the Explorer, Anglophenia)

She has worked on the series “Go Diego Go” (Nickelodeon), “Dora the Explorer” (Nickelodeon), and “Anglophenia” (BBC America). Lally has edited content for broadcast, web, and social platforms.
